New Class - Christmas Ornament Keepsake Box and Card Set

I am VERY excited to be able to offer this class to you. My upline Sandra created this gorgeous Christmas ornament shaped box with 12 matching cards and kindly sent me the instructions on how to make it.

Is this not the cutest thing you've ever seen?

Each box holds 12 cards and envelopes.

12 beautiful Christmas cards - 4 each of 3 designs - with matching envelopes.

Do you want to learn how to make them?
I will be offering this class once a month starting Saturday September 15th 5:00PM - 10:00PM. Please visit my Eventbrite site for additional dates (subject to change) and to register. The cost is $20.00 which includes the Instruction Sheet, all materials needed, access to my stamps, inks and cutting tools plus snacks and beverages. This would make a wonderful gift (teachers, hostesses, Secret Santas, etc) or an equally lovely home decor item if you prefer to use and send the cards yourself.

I hope you'll join me in! If you'd like a private class at YOUR home rather than mine, please contact me to set that up. I think this would be a great way to spend a few hours with your girl friends getting in the Christmas Spirit!

Shameless Plugging!

I know I have been a bit MIA on the blog but I have been working my butt off behind the scenes. Promise!!

On what, you ask? Well ... cards, layouts, and pricing my stash. Huh? Pricing your stash? That's right. I have a table in the Clipper Street Tailgate Garage Sale this Sunday (PLEASE stop raining!!!) so this is the current scene in my living room  ...

Come on out and scoop up last season's Stampin' Up! products at over 50% off plus TONS of other manufacturers products that need new homes. I have completely culled my stash in an attempt to a) get it under control (I have a serious paper hoarding problem!!) and b) earn some cash to buy myself a Silhouette (no, I did not win the contest ... boo, hoo!) I have a Cuttlebug plus 2 SETS of cutting mats for sale PLUS my Cricut

So ... come on out to Clipper Street in Langley (click on the link to get directions) this Sunday July 22nd from 10:30 - 2:00PM. See you there!!

What else is on the agenda? You may have noticed the new box in my side bar for Upcoming Classes and Events. All the orange highlighted dates are dates for classes or drop-in scrap nights. Click on them for more information and to register. Next week I am happy to offer two dates for my new Birthday Cards for Kids Class - Wednesday July 25th and Saturday July 28th in the afternoon. Here's what you could make ...

Also next week is July's Drop-In night (fondly called Vini, Vinum, Partum or I came, I drank wine, I created!) Pre-registration is a must for ALL EVENTS or else you run the risk of no one being home! Don't want to pay by credit card? No problem. Just shoot me an email via the link on my side bar to let me know how many are planning to come and then pay by cash or cheque at the door.

Also in the works in another Starting Point layout featuring the NEW (as in, not available to the public until August 1st) Hallowe'en line called Howlstooth & Scaringbone DSP.

Stay tuned to see how it turns out ...

I must wrap this up now as it is almost time to pick up the older two girls from Vacation Bible School. They were told to wear their swim suits today but I don't think the leaders meant for them to be swimming in the pouring rain! Sigh. Why can't it just decide to be summer full time already?!?! Christine has missed her sisters this week as she is still too young for VBS (next year!) but she will have them all to herself next week as there are no camps planned. Boy I hope the sun shines all week! Otherwise I may go completely mental!

Have a great weekend everyone. Remember to pop by my table at the garage sale on Sunday!!

Up, Up & Away Cards for All Ages

I've mentioned my Birthday Cards for All Ages class and if you've visited my Events Page or Event Brite site you may have seen a sneak peak of the type of cards we will be making. Here's a closer look at the stamp set we'll be using.
I have really tried to think outside the box, as well as come up with some fun cards that use the images in a more traditional fashion. Here's what you can make next Friday April 13th (I know, I know, Friday the 13th ...)

Make any 3 of these cards for $10.00 - additional card kits can be purchased for $3.00 each. Please visit either of the links above to register. Hope to see you there!

New Class - Mother's Day Gift Box Set

Come on out and create this gorgeous gift box display for your Mom.

As a Mother myself I know how much we do for our families and am always in awe of all MY Mum did for me. I lost her at the age of 14 and gained a new Mom who is equally dedicated, loving and supportive. I do have problems coming up with what to give her each year though. As a recipient now of many a hand made item, and as an avid Crafter myself (shocking, I know), I turn to what I know and love to inspire me. This year, Ina will be receiving these little boxes filled with her favourite goodies (Licorice All Sorts!).

How about  you? Wouldn't YOUR Mom appreciate receiving these from you this year?

Cost - $15.00
Includes: all supplies necessary to make the boxes in the picture above.
Does NOT include: goodies to go inside the boxes!!
Please bring your own scissors, bone folder and adhesives.

IMPORTANT: RSVP by April 11, 2012 otherwise I can not guarantee I will have enough product to go around! You can RSVP on my website if you plan to pay by cheque or cash or use my Eventbrite site if you'd like to pay by credit card. I will ONLY be ordering enough product for those registered so be sure to sign up early to avoid disappointment!

No matter how old we are we still need to show our love and appreciation for all our Mom's do and have done for us over the years. This box set can be used as Home Decor to remind your Mom how much you love her after the goodies you fill it up with are long gone. These boxes are food safe so fill them up with your Mom's favourite chocolates, cookies, candies or anything else she would love.

Hope to see you there!

PS - If you can't make it but would still like to make this gift set, you can purchase the supplies to make it yourself along with my Step-by-Step instructions for $10.00. This will NOT include the stamped or embossed images though. I encourage you to use your own supplies of stamps and punches to make it your own or order what you need from me.

Valentine's for Mom and Me

Are you tired of sending out the same old store-bought cheesy Valentine's to your kids' classmates?
Would you like to send out homemade Valentine's but don't have the supplies or the ideas?
Do your kids hound you (speaking from personal experience here!) for paper, glue and scissors and then leave a mess expecting you to clean it up?

I have the solution!

Come to my house next Saturday and I'll clean up after your kids!

Here's a look at what I've got gathered - so far - for you and your child(ren) to work with.

If there aren't enough hearts here to inspire some lovely Valentine's for your child's classmates then I'm not sure what else to do!!

Choose your background heart colour, add a doily, stamp away and glue on some hearts.

Easy peasy?

You will also have access to some Smooch Spritz in red (or clear) that would look really cute on those doilies!!

If you are interested, please leave a comment here (or on Facebook if that's where you're reading this) or email me using the link in the side bar. Cost is $25/child with each additional child being $15. Your child will be able to make a Valentine for each member of their class and one (larger one) for their teacher.
Mom's if your child is a bit older and doesn't require your help, feel free to bring your own projects to work on. For a $5 drop-in fee you can have access to all my stamps, inks, punches and Big Shot dies. All I ask is that you bring your own project supplies, scissors and adhesive. I will also have some card kits for you to purchase and make here or at home.

When you ask? Saturday Feb 11th at either 2:00 - 4:00PM or 7:00 - 9:00PM. Just let me know which time slot you'd like. Ladies, if you're coming to the later time slot feel free to BYOB!!

Thanks, hope to see you there.

Oh, and since it is Sale-a-Bration right now, any purchases over $60 qualify for a free item from the Sale-a-Bration list. I may even have a few extras on-hand for you to take home right away if you place a qualifying order!

Christmas Traditions Mini Album Class

Edited July 28th - If you've come here from the Practical Scrappers Blog, Welcome! I've added a few more pictures to this post to show you guys more ways to accent the most simplest of titles - ones you print off yourself! If you find yourself needed a title but are short on alphabet stickers (is anyone ever short on alphabet stickers?) or alphabet stamp sets (as I was last Christmas), it's really easy to find a font you like in your word processing software of choice and with a few clicks you've got totally unique titles for your pages. I chose to print all my title onto Whisper White card stock for continuity but you could easily print them onto patterned paper and cut out each letter for a more varied look.
For your convenience. all added content is in red italics.

Hey everyone!
I have been a busy little bee in my craft room this month. For the second year I completed a December Daily album (started by Ali Edwards, check out her blog for more details) which is posted on my personal blog. I have a pile of non-Stampin' Up! product still to use up so this album is mostly made up of old products but I did use some SU inks, stamps, and punches.

It inspired me to create a mini album (which is a class I will be teaching on January 5th - go here to sign up) talking about our Christmas Traditions. Here are some sneaks, if you want to see all the content you will need to sign up for the class! :)

Here on the title page I used Cherry Cobbler Dazzling Details to fill in the letters and add sparkle.

On the title here I added the Cherry Cobbler Dazzling Details just along the bottom edges of the letters to create the look of depth or shadow. Below I used Dazzling Details in a similar way but on top of the letters this time to mimic the look of snow or ice sitting on top of the title.

The pages below don't have any significant examples of my use of Stampin' Up's version of Stickles  but I added them for your enjoyment anyway. Looking back at this post I think I may use this year's version of this Simply Scrappin' Kit to make my 2012 December Daily! (BTW it's called Merry Moments Simply Scrappin and will be available on August 1st.)

I am using the Christmas Lane Simply Scrappin' Kit (plus various other things I have in my stash.) It is a beautiful kit and will be gone soon so you will want to snap yours up now!

The class is $42.00 which may seem like a lot but here is what you get:
- Complete templates for all my page designs
- Access to all my stamps, inks, punches, Big Shot and dies, ribbons, brads and other accessories.
- Customized titles (if mine don't work for you!)
- My help and the company of other fun, creative scrappers who I know will take my designs to new heights!

If you would like to make one of these (or just get the products so you can make it later), go here to register for my class. Hurry though as registration MUST close on Dec 31st otherwise I cannot guarantee the product can be shipped on time. Also, these items will ONLY be available with Stampin' Up! until January 3rd!!

What's new?

Wow! Has it really been a month since I posted?! I've been busy with other projects - kids, Holiday Season activities, non-Stampin' Up! projects (gasp!) - and kind of forgot to keep everyone updated. My apologies!

So ... how's everyone doing? Ready for Christmas? We are mostly there. The girls and I are heading to Richmond Centre today to visit Santa and collect trading cards from his elves. They have a fantastic program over there that has completed enchanted my girls so every year it has become tradition to "Elf Hunt" (i.e. collect as many trading cards as we can!)

I've been busy crafting some Christmas decorations - check them out.

On the Stampin' Up! front, they are having a HUGE Clearance sale right now that you have very much got to check out. Clicking on the link above takes you to an info page on my SU site. From there you can go to the Products - Shop Now tab and browse the on-line store. The products on sale are discontinued items and old-stlye punches but the prices are amazing! Oh and while we're on the subject of discontinued items, I just heard that they will NOT be continuing the Stocking Builder Punch so if you were thinking of getting one, I'd snap it up now before stock runs out. It's pretty versatile - stockings (obviously) but I've seen it turned into baby booties, sweaters, hobby horses, and check out this cute Canucks Card.

I've been busy updating my Class Calendar on my site too - check it out here. Join me on January 5th as we make a mini album documenting our Christmas memories. I'll be holding an Open House on January 7th to show off the new Occasions Mini and Sale-a-bration Catalogues. And on January 20th is the Inaugural Stamp Club class - we'll be playing with emboss resist techniques. As soon as I've got samples to show you I will!!

That's all my kids will allow me to post right now (sigh). Wishing you all a very Merry Christmas and a Safe and Happy New Year. Can't wait to see what 2012 holds in store for me and Stampin' Up!

Christmas Card Making Class

Need a few ideas for fun and easy Christmas cards this year? Come on out to my class!
We will be making 3 different designs - normally I would add the previews for you right here but my computer has chosen to have a few death spasms this week so .... I'm using my hubby's computer and having to transfer files back and forth and, well, it's annoying! So, check out my Facebook album here for those previews.

I've added a button to my sidebar with a link to my Eventbrite site. Click on it and then register by Visa or Mastercard. If you'd prefer to send me a cheque my address is under Additional Ticket Info.

Thanks! Hope to see you there!
